Clothesline Project

The Clothesline Project is a visual display that bears witness to the violence against women.  October of 1999 saw the original Clothesline Project with 31 shirts displayed on the village green in Hyannis, Massechusetts.  Sweetwater County began it's own Clothesline Project in 1994 and has grown through the years.  During the public display, a clothesline is hung with shirts.  Each shirt is created by a survivor of abuse or by those who have lost a loved one to it.
