High Desert HR Association, an affiliate of SHRM, presents:
As public health restrictions ease and businesses reopen, employers are continuing to respond to employment issues related to COVID-19. This session will cover how to handle ongoing leave requests and reinstatement obligation under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA). We will discuss the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act’s (CARES Act) impact on unemployment benefits. We will cover the current status of the Paycheck Protection Program, specifically the impact of reduced head count and salary reductions on forgiveness. We will also discuss employer responses to the economic impacts of COVID including furloughs and layoffs. Lastly, we will have discussion on how to reopen and operate safely in our "new normal" work environments.
