It is the 150th anniversary of Powell’s 1869 expedition from Green River Station.
Western Wyoming Community College’s Department of Anthropology and History hosts Dr. Phil Roberts as he presents “John Wesley Powell’s Arid Lands Report” on March 21st at 7PM in room 1302.
In conjunction with the 150th anniversary of John Wesley Powell's 1869 Geographic Expedition, which embarked from Green River Station, Dr. Roberts - Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Wyoming - will speak on the importance of Powell's expedition, and his Arid Land Report.
This event is sponsored by Western Wyoming Community College’s Anthropology and History Department and The Outlaw Inn.
