The Nutcracker
The Nutcracker is a ballet by Pyotr Tchaikovsky with a libretto by Marius Pepita, based on the fairy tale by E.T.A. Hoffman, created and first presented to the public in 1892. In Hoffman's fairy tale, the girl's name is Mary and her favorite doll is Clara. Marius Pepita used this version for his libretto.
