Big Sandy Lodge has a rich history dating back to 1930, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Located 44 miles away from the nearest town of Boulder, Wyoming, our lodge offers a unique and secluded experience. Situated at an elevation of 9,100 feet, and nestled against the Bridger Wilderness at the southern end of the picturesque Wind River Mountain Range, Big Sandy Lodge is the perfect gateway to the stunning Cirque of the Towers and other world-class climbing and photography spots.
Originally a fish camp belonging to Finis Mitchell, known as "Man O' the Mountain," Big Sandy Lodge has retained its rustic charm over the past 90 years. With limited cell service, no public phones, and no electricity, our lodge provides an escape from the outside world, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the Wyoming mountains.
Leave behind the distractions and embrace the tranquility that awaits you at Big Sandy Lodge.
