About Us

The Society of Petroleum Engineers Western Wyoming Rock Springs Chapter is proud to represent Sweetwater , Lincoln, Teton, Uinta and Sublette counties. The SPE is a worldwide organization which works with individuals associated within the petroleum industry.
Our local chapter is a non- profit organization that schedules and organizes events to raise money for Scholarships for the Scholars who are pursuing a degree in the Energy Industry. i.e. (Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanics, Welding, Diesel Mechanics, Mining etc.) We also donate amounts to local charities and families in need. We accomplish this through four main events. The Chili Cookoff, Shrimp and Crawfish Boil, Shotgun Trap Shoot and the annual Golf Tournament. Through the help of our members and individual companies throughout our communities we are able to give current and upcoming college students a great start in their careers.
