?The Foundation's mission statement ''Industry Providing for People while Partnering in Conservation and Environmental Stewardship'' ?recognizes the critical role that Wyoming's mining industries play in providing for the health and well-being of human and natural environments.
?The Foundation has developed an initial conservation strategy which is designed to engage landowners and land managers, agencies, academia and stakeholders to work together with the mining industry to implement durable conservation practices on the ground.
The Wyoming Mining Natural Resource Foundation is a non-profit corporation. The impetus to form the Foundation was an outgrowth of a cooperative, voluntary conservation initiative led by the trona/soda ash industry with an objective of benefiting the Greater sage-grouse and other sagebrush obligate species and conserving the habitat on which they depend in southwestern Wyoming.
